About Hollywood Housing Authority

Established in 1975, the Hollywood Housing Authority sought to provide economical, safe and sanitary housing for eligible families as well as elderly and handicapped/disabled persons.

The Hollywood Housing Authority maintains 120 units of public housing and administers subsidies in excess of 700 units of private housing. Under the guidance of its five member Board of Commissioners, the Hollywood Housing Authority is committed not only to improving the quality of life of residents but also serves as a community resource and partner.

The Hollywood Housing Authority maintains its properties within the City of Hollywood. In addition, subsidized private units for the Housing Choice Voucher Program administered by the Hollywood Housing Authority and can be found in all sections of the community.

In conjunction with public and private sector organizations, the Hollywood Housing Authority conducts a variety of programs for residents. Family Self-Sufficiency and Welfare to Work are among the current programs being offered by Hollywood Housing Authority. By bringing together a team of various organizations, the Hollywood Housing Authority strives to make self sufficiency a way of life.
